The climate in March is getting towards the warm and dry season. It can be more cloudy but with 3-4 hours of sunshine during the day. Temperatures are usually around a comfortable 18 degrees Celcius (which is approximately 65 degrees Fahrenheit). So it’s actually quite a good time to visit Hong Kong without it being so hot that you can’t do anything outdoors.

There isn’t too much rain during March either, so it’s a great time to visit Hong Kong to appreciate the outdoors there. Beware though if your trip extends into April as it can begin to get a bit more rainy then. But the peak rainy season isn’t until June, so unless you’re looking at a very long trip to Hong Kong, the climate won’t be too bad during March.

If you’re sensitive to pollution in the air, then Hong Kong is renowned to be a troublesome place to visit for those with breathing ailments such as asthma. However, March is when the levels of pollution in the air begin to rise. It’d be best to avoid areas next to busy roads regardless.

If you’re wondering what to pack in terms of clothing and equipment to prepare for the climate in Hong Kong, then it’d be a good idea to make sure you bring a jacket just in case it’s a bit chilly at night, and perhaps an umbrella for emergencies.
