On April 20th Hong Kong celebrates Tin Hau’s birthday, the goddess of the sea and a revered deity. During these celebrations, boats are decorated with banners giving thanks to the goddess for her protection and prayers are made for good weather, safe sailing, and full fishing nets. This is a fantastic time to enjoy Hong Kong’s abundance of fresh seafood.
